Destiny 2's next act will bring Street Fighter 6 cosmetics and a 300% buff to roaming supers

by Tim Clark

Earlier today, Bungie tugged back the curtain on Act II of the Revenant episode, which starts on Tuesday 19 November. As had been widely expected, the update will include a reprised version of the Prison Of Elders activity, which has now been made more roguelike—think The Coil and Riven's Lair, if you've played either of those. Interestingly, a new mechanic will enable dialled in fireteams to skip certain sections with the tradeoff being that they'll face more difficult enemies. Conversely, teams which are struggling will face a longer slog but less punishing opponents. I'm sure that won't lead to any toxicity in LFG teams... Read more.

Festival of the Lost returns in Destiny 2. Conquer Haunted Sectors for great rewards, including the new Arcane Embrace Legendary Shotgun, plus returning weapons with refreshed perks. Also, don't miss your chance to grab Exotic Class items and the Superblack shader!

Destiny 2 players have spent a week trying to prove one of the biggest conspiracy theories in the game's history, and it turns out that 'Weightgate' is real: 'An issue has been found in our code where some random perk combinations are harder to earn'

by Phil Savage

Earlier this month, Bungie released Destiny 2's newest dungeon, Vesper's Host. It's a pretty good time—a fun reprisal of the some of the mechanics introduced in the Deep Stone Crypt raid, and with some unique boss encounters to boot. Good job all around, surely there won't be some major week-long drama off the back of it... Read more.

Destiny 2 tonics explained: How to discover recipes and earn upgrades

by Sean Martin

Tonics are the upgrade system for Destiny 2 's latest episode, Revenant. And much like last episode's Research Bays, they can seem overwhelming at first. The game does a reasonably good job at walking you through the process of actually creating a tonic, but not how to unlock new recipes—which you'll need in order to unlock the Fieldwork missions that reward some useful upgrades that make the whole process quicker. One day Bungie might properly explain the meta-structure it has created for its new release, but today is not that day... Read more.

Those rumours are now reality, as Netease has announced Destiny: Rising—a mobile game that will act as a sort of alt-history prequel to the current Destiny... Read more.
