Not only is the Blood Moon event in full swing, but we also have a new update – Steady Pulse – quickly approaching on the horizon. In the meantime, we wanted to take a look back at the first 3 months of the year and share a look at how things are going for Killers and Survivors. Kicking things off are Killer pick rates! Looking at both MMR groups, The Mastermind and The Blight were both winners, leveraging their high mobility to land in the top 5. While The Nightmare didn’t quite crack the top 10 for the wider MMR bracket, his recent rework helped drive a higher pick rate among higher MMR players. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/11814497/3e33d2313466caed3285cb2a9987b645ff493945.png Speaking of The Nightmare, fresh off his rework, it sure seems like he was a dream to play, leading kill rates across both MMR brackets, while The Lich continued to leverage his vile darkness acr...

New Dead by Daylight survivor is the perfect support, and you can try her now

by editor@pcgamesn.com

Dead by Daylight thrives on its variety. From classic horror icons to internal, homebrewed heroes, every nightmare becomes a reality in Behaviour's asymmetric multiplayer game. But we're often too focused on the big names: Five Nights at Freddy's, Saw, Alien. Now, as part of the Steady Pulse update, developer Behaviour Interactive is announcing a much more low-key character, but they could end up being one of the best, and there's a huge update to The Archives, too. Dead by Daylight gets an all-new generator type, but not forever

by editor@pcgamesn.com

Dead by Daylight's Blood Moon event is back, but this time it comes with all-new surprises. The annual celebration is all about earning, and spending, the most Bloodpoints possible, which means faster progression for new, returning, and longtime players. This time, however, Behaviour Interactive has an ace up its sleeve, in the form of an entirely new type of generator. Read the rest of the story... DBD says farewell to its outdated Challenges, reveals new Quests system

by editor@pcgamesn.com

If you were to ask a Dead By Daylight player to list their top three changes that they want to see in the asymmetrical horror game, I'd wager good money that the Challenge system would be up there. In its current form, it's super sluggish, outdated, and grindy. Well, change is finally afoot. During the latest developer stream, it was revealed that Challenges as you know them are getting binned, and in their place will be a more seamless and less annoying DBD Quests system. Design Preview | The Skull Merchant

by Goblin_BHVR

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/11814497/c1141701f81c7348f2a60bbdbd9f391773ed4c7e.png Today, we want to dig into a topic that we know many of you have been yearning to know more about: our vision for the future of The Skull Merchant! REEVALUATING THE SKULL MERCHANT We know that Skull Merchant is a divisive Killer who, regardless of her performance in a Trial, carries a lot of history and strong feelings among players. Many players feel she’s not fun to play against and her kit is exceedingly complex. This scares away potential Killers from trying her and makes it difficult for Survivors to consider counterplay without dedicated research. As we look to reworking Skull Merchant, our aim is to: Strike a balance between being fun to play as and against Preserve the intel focus of her kit, while making it intuitive to understand for both sides Move away from a passive power with limited player interactions and embrace a more active playstyle, while ensuring her power is compensated in interesting ways T...

Design Preview | Future Plans + Update on The Trickster

by Goblin_BHVR

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/11814497/04a57afa571bb190b48ca96ab432d4baa671d3ff.png Last year, we tested out a new way to gather feedback with the Design Preview. In it, we shared a sneak peek at proposed changes for The Trickster with the goal of gauging how you felt about these changes very early in the design process. We wanted to quickly follow up on how we're changing up the Design Preview process moving forward and give a little update on The Trickster’s preview. WHAT IS A DESIGN PREVIEW? Coming away from last year's Design Preview, a couple things stood out to us: When it comes to bigger changes like reworks, specifics matter. It’s important that we compare the perspectives of both Killers and Survivors to help inform decision-making. While it’s one thing to ask for feedback, the original Design Preview concept didn’t let you know how we’re using your feedback, and it’s important to us that you have visibility on the ways your feedback helps drive improvements within the game! With these i...

New Dead by Daylight killer is Tokyo Ghoul's Ken Kaneki, but not as you know him

by editor@pcgamesn.com

Normally, when you think of Dead by Daylight killers, you think of, well, bad guys. There's Dracula from Castlevania, myriad classic horror villains, and various in-universe characters that are desperate to hack The Fog's survivor roster to pieces. It may come as a surprise, then, that Tokyo Ghoul's protagonist, Ken Kaneki, will be the next DBD killer, aptly entitled 'The Ghoul.' Set to put a horror spin on the iconic anime character, he's available right now on the game's PTB. Read the rest of the story...
