{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/11814497/797a98572ac337dd58be329a8ff9a88959602dd8.png The beloved 2v8 mode is returning! A lot has changed and since the first version – so much that we couldn’t squeeze it into our regular Developer Update – and we’re going to dive into all of it today. Before we get started, it’s important to note that everything below only applies to the 2v8 mode and will not affect regular matches. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/11814497/1299cb3efc9ca8af0e16ae24e61ab7f136b5fa3d.png Cages Survivors are now sent to cages after being picked up by a Killer rather than by stomping. When a Survivor is near a caged Survivor, the cage will no longer move even if there is a Killer nearby. Survivors perform the unhook action 15% faster while a Killer is nearby. Dev note: Flashlights didn’t serve much purpose in the original version of this mode as there weren’t many opportunities to make a save. Killers now need to pick up a Survivor before sending them to a cage, giving Survivors a chance to use thei...

DBD surprises fans with new killer and survivor, and you can play them now

by editor@pcgamesn.com

While Dead by Daylight has recently been killing it with a roster of expanded characters taken from existing properties, like Vecna from Dungeons and Dragons and Dracula and pals from Castlevania, its original creations have always been the game's highlights. It's where developer Behaviour Interactive has tended to let its hair down, going wild with creativity such as with the corrupted android The Singularity or twisted proto-eldritch-god The Dredge. Now, a new original survivor and killer are joining the game's roster after a surprise announcement, and what's more, there's a dog. Read the rest of the story... New DBD stats prove that flashlights aren't as scary as killers think they are

by editor@pcgamesn.com

There are few sights as chilling for killers in Dead by Daylight as seeing a whole team of survivors all equipped with flashlights. It lets you know that you're probably in for a nightmare of a match, with you being bullied on all sides by a bunch of P100 Megs all pulling off saves and stopping you from seeing anything. At least, that's how it feels, but a slew of stats released by developer Behaviour Interactive show that conversely, flashlights aren't that big of a deal. Read the rest of the story... For starters, over seven million matches of 2v8 were played during the event period. (For context, this is a lot!) We’ve been hard at work on the second version of 2v8, so keep your eyes peeled for more information about the mode in the coming weeks. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/11814497/a3974a1a08dcc15cd93be7bf8c21794e23c0053a.png If The Huntress’ lullaby haunts your dreams, it’s probably because she was the most popular Killer this time around. You’re probably wondering which Killers made the deadliest teams, so we crunched the numbers and found the top three pairs. Not to be left out, we’ve also grabbed the numbers for all the Survivor Classes. Escapist was the clear the favourite, though all Classes saw a decent amount of play. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/11814497/d90d741bebefa83fb7714fadcb0709c2dd1e38f2.png A little while ago, we made some tweaks to The S...

After spending some time reading through your feedback, we’ve made a series of adjustments before the 8.3.0 Update releases on all platforms. In this post, we’ll go through each of them and provide some additional context. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/11814497/97a4f10e5a7bbdfd7fe56b3f0d0390172e36b8db.png Mori Update The Ivory & Ebony Memento Mori Offerings once again allow the Killer to kill Survivor(s) who have been hooked twice. The Cypress Memento Mori Offering has been retired. Dev note: We’ve received a lot of feedback about the changes made to the Ivory & Ebony Memento Mori Offerings during the PTB. This came down to the loss of mid-match kills & group photo opportunities, as well as concerns that the Bloodpoint reward would encourage unfun behaviour. With that in mind, we have reverted the changes to the Mori Offerings. As a result, the Cypress Memento Mori Offerin...
