6 Tanglewood Drive Rework Launches March 3rd, 2026

by Tom Dent

Welcome back, Ghost Hunters. We have some news for you. Today we’re excited to announce that our reworked 6 Tanglewood Drive will be launching on 3rd March, 2026 for all platforms. While we’d like to save the majority of the changes and surprises that await you with the map launch, we want to give a little detail on the why and how we’ve decided to rework such a fan-favourite location. The VisualsAs with all our previous map reworks, our aim is to bring all our original locations up to the quality we know both Phasmophobia and our team are capable of. We’ve created brand new assets, props, animations and more to populate 6 Tanglewood Drive and bring it in line with the vision we’ve always had for it. Our approach to Tanglewood was to give it a much more ‘lived-in’ feel than the other houses in-game currently, meaning older furniture and decor, giving us a sense of who 6 Tanglewood Drive belonged to before something happened within those walls. We’ve also begun exploring what’s possible...

Phasmophobia's most popular map is getting a major rework, making this the only acceptable time to be excited by the phrase 'a new surprise in the basement'

by Andrea Shearon

Phasmophobia's list of demon-infested destinations has grown over the last few years, but Kinetic Games hasn't abandoned its old haunts in favor of the new. Last year, both Bleasdale and Grafton Farmhouse saw major visual overhauls, and now the ghost-hunting game's first-ever map, 6 Tanglewood Drive, is scheduled for an upgrade on March 3... Read more.

Phasmophobia Revamps Its First Map For Bigger Scares and Secrets

by Jordan Biordi

Kinetic Games has been hard at work bringing Phasm0phobia up to the high standard of quality they want the game to have. Now they’ve taken another big step by updating the first map they created for the game. Announced today, fan favourite 6 Tanglewood Drive will receive a massive overhaul in the same vein as the Grafton and Bleasdale farmhouses. The updated map will be available on March 3rd, 2026 and is meant to increase the quality, interactivity, and replayability of the well-loved location. The updated Tanglewood will feature brand-new ghost interactions within the map and a new surprise in the basement. Kinetic Games will keep this structure and much of the original feel when refreshing the design. “The last thing we want to do is remove the magic that players already experience in the game. We understand that Tanglewood is a fan favourite and it’s many of ours too,” said Art Director at Kinetic Games Corey Dixon.” He continued, “The aim... Read more

Phasmophobia's roadmap includes evidence of a 1.0 launch in 2026: a player character overhaul, new event, and Horror 2.0

by Andrea Shearon

Phasmophobia's early access build celebrates its sixth anniversary as a viral ghost-hunting breakout on Steam later this year, but that's assuming we make it to September before the 1.0 launch. If Kinetic Games' latest roadmap stays on track, then we'll be cutting it close, as Phasmophobia is planning for its 1.0 launch with a horror rework and lore update sometime this year... Read more.

Phasmophobia developer announces new indie publishing label: 'We’re now in the place where we want to support studios…and provide the support I'd have appreciated at the start of my journey'

by Rory Norris

Phasmophobia was an instant classic when it launched back in 2020, and it continues to be one of the top games on Steam to this day, having surpassed over 25 million copies sold in early access. It even spawned a wave of similarly successful hits like REPO and Lethal Company, playing its part in birthing the questionably-named friendslop genre (it's a co-op horror game, really)... Phasmophobia devs say all that live service malarkey can do one: they focus on making 'a fun game that people want to play because it's fun'

by Rich Stanton

Phasmophobia is one of those unproblematic success stories. It launched in early access with such a well-conceived and executed core experience that I breathlessly proclaimed it "the best ghost game ever made." In the five years since, developer Kinetic Games has slowly but surely built Phasmophobia into the PC's definitive spook-buster (to the extent there's now a small niche in Phasmo-alikes)... Nell's Diner is the best Phasmophobia has ever looked, setting up Tanglewood for a promising rework: 'We're gonna make sure we do it justice'

by Andrea Shearon

It's hard to believe it's been five years since Phasmophobia kicked off a whole subgenre of multiplayer horror games, but the team at Kinetic Games isn't lacking when it comes to ideas for new haunts. Nell's Diner—an intricately detailed small map with all the charm of a haunted Waffle House—launched this week and I'm already thinking I'll be a regular... Read more.
